[2021 Six Nations] Ireland vs France (14/02/21)

Great defence from France. damn shaun edwards. Fully deserved win comfortable really never looked in any danger of losing it.

Can't see how we deserved to win that anyway. France weren't that great shakes but we were disgracefully below standard at times. Pack stood up, but the half back issue is now beyond a joke.

Don't think Farrell will be in the job for long anyway.

A very bitty game which I felt France won relatively comfortably despite there only being a 2 point difference. Ireland didn't really threaten at all. Big win for France. Do we expect them to win at Twickers? Not so sure. This is likely coming down to a final day showdown should Wales beat England in Cardiff.

Hey, Irish fans, remember how you said that Ireland had peaked too early when they won a Slam and a tour to Oz and the whupped the All Blacks in 2018? Think of it that way. Right now, you're not peaking too early, you're developing the team and keeping your powder dry for the next world cup.

Well not a great game that, and no real quality in this 6 Nations. Both France and Ireland could/should be very good sides but neither showed a great deal today. France threatened to turn it on every now and again but would much more often than not mess it up for themselves. Ireland on the other hand just look directionless... with the players they have available to them it is a real indictment of Farrell as a Head Coach.

The one thing you could take away from it for the Irish is that even though your team didn't really perform, they managed to still be in it until the end (though maybe that was down to France knocking the ball on like a gazillion times). I can only imagine how the Irish are feeling right now... bemusing.

There was quality at times in the french attack, some of the offloading was lovely to watch a lot of it did end in a knock on unfortunately. France left some tries out there today.

They were definitely the better team on display as Ireland just couldn't put anything together but they certainly didn't look the side many would have you believe. It's only one game though, so they may well turn it on in the coming weeks.

You're walking a fine line, haven't quite put the nuclear codes in yet!

Dead right though, loads on these boards seem to think we're going places under Farrell but we're not. Last year we won the games we should have and totally uncompetitive when underdogs. We've now lost two extremely winnable games on the trot and our bench were better than our starters or not used.

We're a tough nut to crack at best right now, selection all over the place, Farrell coming across as stubborn and not in a good way. He has to go 3/3 for the rest of the championship or we'll finish bottom half and he'll lose his job, he needs to start changing things quick.

I've no Idea how Atonio ended up in Dublin. Wrong plane maybe. He is a throw back from the Brunel dark ages.
Galthie showing why he's won one T14 ***le in over 10 years. Put him under pressure and he reverts to type quickly and his type is kickickkickick. What a creepshow. Pick running backs and get them to ..kickickickkickickickkickickickkick

Galthie took it from where he left in the AI that's why he picked Dulin at FB. Kick the ball back to the opposition and hope for the best. Les Bleus are going nowhere. Good compo. Wrong game plan.

In fairness to Ireland, I think James Lowe should have been awarded the try. Disappointing loss.

His foot was in touch so can't argue with it.

Keenan shouldn't have passed as early as he did and JGP made two big errors.

Farrell is the type of guy who crosses the road to avoid a group of teenagers. That's how afraid of youth he is!

One legitimate try scoring opportunity in a test game is not good enough. We are way way too blunt.
****ing brilliant that! :D
