Still a ways off but SA travelling squad is already interesting. Moerat apparently will be named captain even with Kolisi and Etzebeth travelling. A Puma W at home is my pick.

SQUAD FOR ARGENTINA TRIP:

Utility Back: Canan Moodie (Vodacom Bulls).

Outside backs: Kurt-Lee Arendse (Vodacom Bulls), Aphelele Fassi (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Makazole Mapimpi (Hollywoodbets Sharks).

Centres: Lukhanyo Am (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Jesse Kriel (Canon Eagles).

Flyhalves: Manie Libbok (DHL Stormers), Handre Pollard (Leicester Tigers).

Scrumhalves: Jaden Hendrikse (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Cobus Reinach (Montpellier), Grant Williams (Hollywoodbets Sharks).

Loose Forwards: Ben-Jason Dixon (DHL Stormers), Siya Kolisi (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Elrigh Louw (Vodacom Bulls), Kwagga Smith (Shizouka Blue Revs), Marco van Staden (Vodacom Bulls), Jasper Wiese (Urayasu D-Rocks).

Locks: Eben Etzebeth (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg (Montpellier), Salmaan Moerat (DHL Stormers), Ruan Nortje (Vodacom Bulls).

Props: Thomas du Toit (Bath), Vincent Koch (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Ox Nche (Hollywoodbets Sharks), Gerhard Steenekamp (Vodacom Bulls).

Hookers: Johan Grobbelaar (Vodacom Bulls), Malcolm Marx (Kubota Spears).

Utility Forward: Jan-Hendrik Wessels (Vodacom Bulls)

The players being rested and who are unavailable due to injury would make up some team!

1 Kitshoff
2 Mbonambi
3 Malherbe
4 Snyman / Kleyn
5 De Jager
6 Fourie
7 Du Toit / Mostert
8 Hanekom / Roos (although Hanekom is back fit I suppose- just not considered)
9 De Klerk
10 Feinberg-Mngomezulu
11 Kolbe
12 De Allende
13 Esterhuizen
14 Le Roux
15 Willemse

If I was having a bet I'd put money on SA by 11-20 points. Don't think Argentina get as close as some people think. This is the same Argentina that, a week before putting 67 points on them, lost to a dire Wallabies side at home.

I don't think Kolisi/Etzebeth will play, just there to help lead the prep and obviously for injury cover. could be a tight one I think, but knowing that SA have pretty much all but won the ***le I expect Rassie won't mind as much if he fields a 'weaker' team who might just fall on the wrong side of the final whistle - which wouldn't be enough for Arg to overtake them in the table

I would not be surprised with any result in this one. I have a Bok win by 4 but would not be overly surprised if we win by 20 or lose just as big.

I feel uneasy about this game. This is a new Argentina team, in the way they play and the results they get. They look well coached, I hope that the boks will be ready for a huge physical game. Not only a forward battle, as the backs come at you with real speed. Will be a close game I think.

Yeah this game can go many different directions. SA have an edge cause even with all the injuries they probably have a better team.

Do think there will be a lot of broken play and we could see some chaos. Should be fun if it doesn't get too one sided.

Locks and front row are a bit light, but loose forwards are elite.

That feels like a very harsh penalty, Bok 22 goes off his feet onto the player trying to roll away
I get 9s try and buy penalties but he joined that ruck while trying to show that the Argentinian player wasn't rolling, so it should've been a penalty then other way really (though imo the ref should've waved off the penalty for trying to buy it and told them to get on with it)

What a win! Great game

Libbok taking a 79th minute penalty to win is...not what Bok fans would've been wanting hedge their bets on

WOW
poor libbok, crissake, he'll be followed by a lady screaming SHAME, SHAME, SHAME... at least for a week

what if there's a chance? I mean, obviously not since it'll be SA in SA, but... what if?

time to believe in EL PLAN

Rassie who?

argentina GIF

Rassie learned a lot about a bunch of fringe players. Several guys won't make the November tour.
