Well after winning the series now will the coaching staff of the Boks give the other players in the squad a chance now to play in this 3rd & final test, already heard that our excuse for a coach said that he will still start with the same players that played the 2nd test, but hopefully he was just on pills or drunk and the other players will get a chance.

Here is the 22 I would like to see in the 3rd test:

1.Gurthro Steenkamp
2.Chiliboy Ralepelle
3.John Smit ©
4.Bakkies Botha
5.Victor Matfield
6.Heinrich Brussouw
7.Danie Rossouw
8.Pierre Spies
9.Fourie du Preez
10.Morne Steyn
11.Jongi Nokwe
12.Wynand Olivier
13.Jaque Fourie
14.Odwa Ndungane
15.Francois Steyn

16.Bismarck du Plessis(edited)
17.Tendai Mtawarira
18.Andries Bekker
19.Ryan Kankowski
20.Enrico Januarie(hopefully they can pick Vermaak! )
21.Ruan Pienaar
22.Jean de Villiers

The bolded combination will be deadly ;)

Your thoughts on the 3rd test...

If Shane Williams doesn't start for the Lions, I'll eat an imaginary version of him.

I'd like to see Hook up there as well. He's outplayed O'Gara on the tour, certainly, plus the said Irishman's currently hated by the vast majority of Lions fans, so playing him might not be a good idea...

I do hope we see more of a experemental Springboks side. If only so the Lions (With so many men down) get a slightly fairer contest.

Don't know about the actual starting 22 yet Lekso, if PdV gets his way it will probably be the same-ish as the 22 of the 2nd test.

Some news about the Lions' props:

Lions lose both props for third test

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div>
The British and Irish Lions will be without first-choice props Gethin Jenkins and Adam Jones for next week's final test against South Africa after both underwent surgery on injuries sustained in Saturday's defeat.

Jenkins suffered a cracked cheekbone while Jones dislocated his shoulder in an incident that led to Springbok lock Bakkies Botha being cited after the game the Springboks won 28-25 to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Both men had surgery in Pretoria on Saturday, and three other Lions also needed hospital treatment in the wake of the brutal encounter at Loftus Versfeld.

Lions doctor James Robson had a very long list of injuries and said that Brian O'Driscoll (concussion), Jamie Roberts (arm), Tommy Bowe (elbow) and Ronan O'Gara (cut eye) would all be monitored during the week before the team for the Ellis Park test is named on Thursday.

Winger Luke Fitzgerald had no lasting eye damage from the first-minute incident that led to a yellow card and subsequent citing for recalled Springbok flanker Schalk Burger.

Both South Africans will attend a disciplinary hearing later on Sunday.

"It certainly was a fairly brutal game," Robson told journalists.

"As the casualty list goes it is not something I am happy with. To lose two of our most colourful characters in Gethin and Adam is distressing. Gethin has had a plastic plate inserted. The timescale for his recovery is six to eight weeks.

"We couldn't get Adam's shoulder to pop back in at the stadium and he was required to go to theatre. He will be subject to further investigation and specialist opinion.

"Brian is very much alert and conscious today but he is subject to the usual return to play protocol."

Coach Ian McGeechan said he would not be calling up any further replacements for the final game and he still has four available props with Phil Vickery and Andy Sheridan as well as last week's call-ups John Hayes and Tim Payne.[/b]

Guess Andy Sheridan & John Hayes are the favourites to start then?

well that's no problem it can be found on number of rugby websites

well I think Lions will be very aggressive very very

and SA can use this option in a smart way

always easy to defeat hypermotivated opposer

Danie Rossouw -Blue Bulls

Yes exactly and that is the main What They Will Be Focused ON

Not To Lose again?

Or just to win at least one match?

Here you got their sore spots, damn you handle them

Meanwhile when you lose with small score edges (I mean by 3 pts in the last match) it's just devastating for the soul

Interested to see how Steyn goes at 10. His S14 semi performance against the Crusaders was very intelligent, and now he's got the boost of that winning kick against the Lions.

Darcy in the centre is as good as you could hope for. And Hayes and POC combining in the lineout may show a missed opportunity for the Lions.

I know ROG is despised and derided by the whole world, but I'd love to see him pulling the strings against SA. And let's hope they get the ball to Bowe on the right wing - I think he's been given three runs in the tests so far. PDV lets Habana have more ball than that!

It's your team Speedy? :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Sir. Speedy @ Jun 29 2009, 01:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div>
Yeh, that's what I'd like to see. Don't think it's good enough though.[/b]

Yeah I understand, but I think you come from the actual capabilities of squad today ;)

Couldnt be arsed listing them, but I'd like to see the rest of the squad get a test under them. Result is unimportant. Give them the test they travelled for.

I also want to see some other players get a run! Here is the team i would like to see:

1. Gurthro Steenkamp
2. Chiliboy Ralepelle
3. John Smit ©
4. Andries Bekker
5. Victor Matfield
6. Heinrich Brussouw
7. Pierre Spies
8. Ryan Kankowski

9. Fourie du Preez

10. Morne Steyn
11. Jongi Nokwe
12. Wynand Olivier
13. Jaque Fourie
14. JP Pieterson
15. Francois Steyn

16. Bismarck du Plessis
17. Tendai Mtawarira
18. Danie Rossouw
19. Juan Smit
20. Bryan Habana
21. Ruan Pienaar
22. Jean de Villiers

It would obviously not happen, but i really wanna see Kankowski and Spies start.

My backline for the 3rd test

9. Du Preez
10. Morné Steyn
11. Bryan Habana
12. Wynand Olivier
13, Jaque Fourie
14. JP Pietersen
15. Frans Steyn

Still a bit undecided about the forwards seeing as Bakkies has been suspended and Danie Rossouw will probably not play.

4. Andries Bekker
6. Heinrich Brussouw

The 22 I'd like to see
1 Sheridan
2 Rees
3 Hayes (deserves a test chance at 35 before he retires)
4 Shaw
5 POC
6 Croft
7 Wallace
8 Heaslip
9 Phillips
10 O'Gara (It will give the game more spice)
11 Fitzgerald
12 Hook
13 D'Arcy
14 Bowe
15 Kearney
Reps: Ford, Vickery, DOC, M. Williams, Blair, S. Williams, Earls.

Agree with that team apart from...guess...Rog, Jones has to play or, move Hook to 10 and give Keith Earls a go at 12.

I really hope Nokwe gets a run, he is quality, one of the toughest one on one players to stop in the SH. Hopefully Fourie gets a start, as Bekkers injured they have called in Muller so he will probably partner Matfield. Morne Steyn should start at 10 with Pienaar at 9 presuming Du Preez doesnt recover.

Should Shaw play? He isn't going to play any better than last week, why not let him go out on top?

Hayes > Vickery

Hook > ROG
