A great big Munster thread

Shows how far Journalism has came in Ireland. Peter O'Reilly wrote article yesterday as Snoop referenced to. Embarrassingly today have his mini fact eg DRs girlfriend in Dublin and bit were today discovered as being facts mixed up. With the Henshaw transfer last year
I called it yesterday as wrong and have since been shown the many flaws in the story but still it's bad.

Anyway Ryan is set to sign this week for Racing.
Rassie is going too. It at end of negotiations nearly. Part of deal seem set to see Boks come to Thomond Park. And Rassie stay involved as a recruitment officer in SA. Nienebar and Fla will take more responsibility with a new DoR coming in. Nienebar will be the head coach and a new specialist forwards coach will be signed also it seems.

If Rassie accepts I must add

for **** sakes

Look,at least you got good use out of him. It seems he has made quite a significant impact on your team and has gotten them into a very positive position in both competitions. Remember, the Stormers had Eddie Jones for the whole of one week a couple of months before the Super Rugby season started, and then he was gone and we were left struggling to find a replacement.

He has been superb for us and look he's not leaving for money etc. He is going to head his home country. That is understandable. The key in my eyes is seeing Jaques stay. Our game is based in defensive side and he is the guru there. Having been lucky to see these guys training daily I know his blueprint will stay with the squad. And we still have season to finish out Rassie will hopefully win his European Cup.

You are in good defensive hands with Nienaber, he is the best defensive coach from South Africa and made the Stormers the team with the least points scored against them for two or three seasons.

Yeah, I'm not really angry at Erasmus anymore, just quite ****** off with the situation, still quite disappointing though, as this is a really bad period to be looking for new coaches. I have faith in Nienaber and think he's probably one of the best hires we've ever had, but he's never been a head coach before and we'll need someone more senior in a DOR role and I'm not sure I want him distracted from defense anyway. It's the cornerstone of our resurgence. Nienaber will essentially be stepping into a role which was left vacant by the passing of Anthony Foley leaving his own position vacant, with a dedicated forwards coach also probably being a target. Essentially while Rassie did great work, it's difficult to see a group of less experienced coaches mixed with a rake of new coaches being able to follow the example he set this year.
All in all nothing about this year has been normal for us, but this adds a lot more confusion.

And he has done exact same here. We are now playing aggressive defensive plan which is great.

Have faith in coaches. Look back a few pages and everyone was slating Felix Jones appointment and I said trust in him. He's been a huge success as a coach. Munster have learnt from past mistakes. They won't let coaching team be completely unexperienced. But will strike right balance.

Should add it's not finalised yet so he's not gone yet.

I always had faith in Jones and in fact all of our coaches, but there is no substitute for experience, and this is a very very young group of coaches. We need to have a veteran at the helm to make sure our coaches keep learning and developing their knowledge.
If the SARU give Rassie what he wants he will surely go. I take back what I said yesterday about blame to be honest, because if I was him and my country's team was been run into the ground and I had the power to do something about it and force change I would probably do the same.

Oh there will be experienced head in group. No fears there

Laurie Fisher is 1 I'd consider but like Rassie contracts can be negotiated

Are the Dan Leavy rumours drying up Muff? International appearences and a Euro qf, and likely semi, will surely convince him to stay at home.

No still there but from being in camp I think it won't happen. I can see Conor Oliver really challenging next year and well lock will probably be the priority.
Although Leavys issue is more I think IRFU are pressuring him to move. I suppose depth is grand but Heaslip Jordi O'Brien VDF and Leavy are all internationals that need to be considered as guaranteed in club squad. Add Conan to mix too.
Obviously he'd be well further up pecking order here and we will happily take him but there is issue there in maybe he wants to stay.

Also there's hold up in fixtures as Leinster SF may be moved due to game 99.9% on Sunday and a soccer game on.

We have applied for 35000 tickets for SF. We presumed Sarries were bringing big support but didn't expect for them to bring their whole fan base. The whole 2500 of them

Yeah, I have to hold my hands up here. I seriously doubted the appointment, happy to be proven completely wrong.

Struggling to think of who's available given the problems Connacht had finding coaches.

We'll send you down Neil Doak...

For free. I'll pay the train ticket myself.

Is that not their swollen fan base when the tickets are free. Unless ERC (or whatever that c**t mccafferty has called them) are doing a deal - then you might get a tenth of that.

2500? You'd have more chance of getting that at a poetry slam on Mars. Saracens could fit their entire fan base into a pair of Billy Vunipola's shorts and still have space for my huge hatred of Chris Ashton. What do Saracens trophy case and their stadium have in common? They'd both be empty if it wasn't for their millionaire owner.

funny. Thought you were talking about Racing

Just to add at training today Rassie has stated no done deal with SARU but well the feeling is its on the cards.

Gert Smal
Mike Ford
Jim Williams
These are the names the walls speak of

From Wales online. They can't even spell Sweetnam wrong, the thick *****. Honestly it's like all their journalists are kids on work experience. They then weirdly go on to talk about how great our team spirit is. Being a very brave young man doesn't take you to semi-finals lads. Wonder what they think of literally every rugby player playing rugby in Wales if those guys are untalented, seeing as their best side got done by Barely existent Francais at home.

"Conor Murray, CJ Stander, Simon Zebo and Peter O'Mahony are fine players and Keith Earls is decent. But the likes of Dave Kilcoyne, Donnacha and John Ryan, Jaco Taute and Darren Sweetenham [sic] are hard workers and nothing more."

Also Muff if Mike Ford is even given an interview I want you to walk in there and fling your poo at him. We're not having him here. Failed Bath coaches have no place here. Have no bones against Smal or Williams to be honest. Smal might fit us better at the moment.
