In all fairness they declared Pluto and believed it a possible terrorist marauder attack. Media had that info and the rampant speculation went mad.

The new Police guidance is to release the info asap because they've been criticised when they haven't. In an ideal world people would let the police to there job. Unfortunately i agree it is sad but now it's all trial by media, citizen journos and self-proclaimed auditors.

You’re of course right to say who knows wtf is going on but would motive matter that much in sentencing?

They’ve ruled out terrorism so it seems it’s a couple of lunatics (obviously anyone who does this kinda thing no matter the motive is a lunatic but you know what I mean) and you’d think whether it was a political/terrorism thing or just random nutters the sentencing should be pretty similar but I’m no judge.

Agree the police have been put in a difficult position. In an ideal world the public would refrain from rumour mongering, be patient and give the police time and space to conduct their investigation. Sadly we're not in an ideal world.

Was reported in good faith that he was involved. My gut says he was probably the only other black guy and people said he was with the other guy. Obviously tensions running high and what not but as you say, poor guy having to go through that AND get arrested.

As I say it’s just a gut feeling. Perhaps there were very understandable reasons why people said this man was with the attacker but it seems a bit off.

It’s not “how I view the UK” though I’m not sure what that really means to be honest.

You read the same things i did and went with white people fingered him for being black?

Whos to know what happened, that gut feeling would view the UK as a racist white country willing to throw anyone non white under the bus. The daily mail comment section is full of gut feelings also, i wouldnt wsnt to see the UK how they do!

Maybe I’m not making myself clear. My position is I don’t know what happened but I find it strange how someone was reported by a few people to have been involved in the attack. This might actually set a dangerous precident, Tommy might be a twat, but he does regularly get stopped and targeted. If theyre going to they have to be squeeky clean
