A Political Thread pt. 2

It's hilarious how the Russians try to downplay the attacks and the sinking of their ships by making the claim that they are just actually staggeringly and destructively incompetent.

"Don't be stupid! It wasn't the Ukrainians, we just happen to be ******* morons who keep accidently blowing up our own hardware!"
Joking aside Ukraine is definitely winning the info war although it's still unclear how the rest of the war will pan out

Republicans now claiming the FBI are planting evidence. Genuinely the extents the Republicans are going to to protect Trump is sickening, they are cultists. We are seeing the same in this country to a lesser degree. A moron with no morals or integrity who lies through his teeth, shits on the law and all precedence and proceedings, gets rid of oversight of their crap behaviour and fosters a cult like mentality in which they can do no wrong. They then fight tooth and nail to avoid leaving office and immediately plan to try to screw over the system upon being forced out. Both also have their cultists then trying to claim all actions against them are purely politically motivated and acting like they are innocent. The same damn crap and these people then turn around and say the left are the problem.

Andrew Neil simping for Trump over at the Daily Fail. Seriously, are those on the right utterly incapable of seeing that this raid is unprecedented precisely because what Trump has done and continues to do is also unprecedented!? We are talking a bona fide attempt at a coup and people are still making excuses! The fact he failed and it didn't get enough traction doesn't mean he didn't attempt it and wouldn't have gone ahead with it if the option was available.

For anyone making excuses for Trump, ask yourself one simple question; if Trump was presented with an opportunity to overturn the election through illegitimate means that would have succeeded, do you honestly think he would not have taken it?

UK civil servants have been ordered to trawl through the social media accounts of guest speakers at one government ministry, including going back up to five years to see if they have ever criticised government policy, as part of a new vetting process.
The new Cabinet Office rules cover the vetting of outsiders coming into the department to take part in "learning and development" events and urge managers to carefully check the backgrounds of such guests.

News Johnson is now on his second holiday. Daily Fail readership "So what? He deserves it." This is why this country is so ******. Never known people more determined to make every excuse under the sun to continue excusing the inexcusable. Would be nice for some of this lot to just admit they voted in an absolute arsehole but they just can't do it. Says a lot about their morals.

Just a part after 12 years in power with zero ideas how push the country forward wants to fight the battles of the past or made up ones of the future as it has no idea how to deal with anything of the present. They're complete and utterly clueless currently.

Can anyone enlighten me on where this whole antisemitism has come from suddenly in the news?

I understand Truss said it's rife in the civil service but can't find any evidence to back up her claim.

I also don't know how this type of news will benefit the Tory party.
