It's a method of vote suppression:

Few places where you cast your ballot.
Inaccessible by public transport.
Vote on a working day.
And takes hours to do so.
Oh yes, and you need the right form of ID.

Not to mention random purges of the electoral roll, and gerrymandering of authority lines.
Basically, whatever they can do to make it as hard as possible for those of lower socio-economic status to vote
Yup,
There was a story earlier how the state of Virginia's voter registration website went down because someone "accidentally" broke the cable.
How the hell is something so important taken down by someone tripping over an extension cable?
They're not even pretending that it's a fair system.

Welcome to the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And here we have McConnell laughing at how the senate went on vacation rather than doing something to tackle Covid.

See last rant for full details about what I think about the right atm. Absolute scumbag.

I only really learnt about gerrymandering at the last election...its shocking, just googled and this came up

and why is it on a tuesday?

Yup, pro-life, anti-mask, pro-guns, anti-health are, pro-death-penalty, only good immigrant is a dead immigrant, poor people are welcome to die, death of liberals is acceptable collateral if they're protesting against fascism.
But pro-life though. So long as that life is unborn or republican

I get you can always pick idiots out of any crowd but these people genuinely do not have functioning brains, only one of them was actually able to grasp the sheer hypocrisy of his position (mail in voting) but wasn't prepared to admit it. He was still an arsehole for valuing seeing Trump above his dads life and walking around dressed like a pillock.

These people are only pro life until the baby is actually born, if it dies 5 minutes after birth that's fine.

It reaffirms to me that Trump supporters want to believe what they want to believe. No amount of reasoning with them is going to change their minds. Scary thing is there must be at least 50 -60 million, who vote, who think similarly and will still vote for Trump despite of everything that's happened, on November 3rd. One messed/polarized country.

Trump will still have this base win or lose because this the part of America he appeals to and will continue to exist.

And even away from the issue of pro-life and anti-anything that sustains life, you can add so many other hypocrisies...
Prostituion = bad
Infidelity = bad
Pornography = bad
So let's vote for the guy who paid a porn star to sleep with him whilst his wife had just given birth...

Or how they voted for Newt Gingritch despite cheating on his wife as she died of cancer while spouting "family values".
