Just something I've been playing with in my head, coming to the fore with Bath's team announcement v Munster.
What's the "best" XV your club could put out, using only players who came through your academy?
For the sake of starting point to the discussion - must have been playing age-grade rugby whilst at your club - so that rules out "well, technically"s like Guy Pepper, although it will still leave younger movers.

Bath:
1. Obano*
2. Dunn
3, AGriffin
4. Ewels
5. Richards
6. Bayliss
7. Staddon
8. Reid

09. Carr-Smith
10. Donoghue
11. SHarris
12. Butt
13. Ojomoh
14. Offiah*
15. De Glanville

16. Tuipulotu*/Frost, 17. Kirk, 18. Sela, 19. Cuckson, 20. Green
21. Le Roux*, 22. Linegar, 23. Hennessey

* Well, technically...
Obano arrived aged 19 after being rejected by Wasps
Offiah arrived aged 17 ater LIrish went bust
Tuipulotu arrived aged 18 after LIrish went bust
Le Roux came during the 2024 6N a couple of months before his 21st (I thought he was a year younger when I included him - if this is too much of a technicality, then it's Mears Jr here)

For the sake of discussion, I'd be happy putting that XV out in the Prem, and any individual from the bench - though the bench as a whole is fine for PWR, but a bit green for the Prem itself.

I’ll have a go at the Saints team but have a feeling we have a few positions missing where we fail to produce players.

1 Manny
2 Wright
3 Tiny
4 Prowse
5 Lockett
6 Coles
7 benson
8 pollock
9 Mitchell
10 Furbank
11 sleightholme
12 Hutchinson
13 Dingwall
14 Freeman
15 Hendy

Apart from tight head I could really see us putting out that team after a few injuries. While we have endless centres, wingers and scrum halves from the academy, we have few props, few back row and no fly halves.

But that’s a good 15 who would trouble most teams.

9 Mitchell

(I kid I kid)

Some positions for Sale are a bit of a stretch these days, conveyor belt at hooker and lock not great for experience

Rodd, Caine, Harper
Bamber, Burrow (if he counts, bit of a weird one as he started the game so late - came to us as academy but above age grade)
Curry, Curry, Dugdale
Warr, Curtis
Reed, RMW, Bedlow, Roebuck
Carpenter

Longstaff, McIntyre, Bell, Hogg, Woodman, Quirke, Davies, Wills

As above, this isn't a side beyond the realms of comprehension tbh, most of these combinations have played
