Argentina's red card today meant they played 61 minutes with 14 men. Nobody, especially teams, want to see 14 vs 15 on the pitch.
So much goes into making a rugby match a good advertisement for the sport. And a red card in it's current way it's being used, is the ultimate spoiler.
My question is also a suggestion: Why cannot you replace a red carded player with another player from the bench ? You keep 15 players on the field, and only the bench suffers. You shouldn't as a team suffer, because one player decided to be reckless. The player doesn't play any more and has a chance of a 1-3 game ban.
