Well I was going to say that i'm neutral in this one, but as i'm involved in the picking comp, I went for Clermont

I hope I can get some TV coverage here ... have the squads been announced yet ... I would be interested to see how Lavea and Lauaki go if available/selected

Well, Clermont play in a town called Clermont Ferrand, which does sound a bit like ferrets. Why did you change the ***le of the thread?

Thanks Olyy, i just checked the Setanta listings, and it looks like I might have to go with the live feed option (plenty of other games on though)

... "Awkward times to watch Rugby" ... there are none are there? ... my better half may disagree though, she's a bit of a Rugby Widow at the moment ... anyway the UK/Europe based games seem to be on during the morning/early afternoon for me, so it's all good

Because no-one will have a clue what "Sarries vs Ferrets" means. I could have created a seperate match thread and let this one die, if you prefer?

considering no one, especially on this board, likes saracens, then i'd say 'you guys' want clermont to win.

they've had a fairly slow start to the season, we've had a good start but haven't set the world alight. given that they're at home, i'd say a clermont win.

from our point of view, a win would be a massive achievement - but if we're going to qualify from a very tough group, then we're going to have to nick at least one win from our two games in france.

Clermont are a bunch of babies anyway, like us Sarries, but I prefer to use ferrets for them just to distinguish the difference between the slightly stronger wimps and a group of scared men.

:huh: care to explain the cheap shot here? Anyway Clermont have no major injuries and they've won their last two games with substantial margins so they're pretty confident. Not to forget they are the Top14 champions, so they'll certainly take the H-Cup very seriously this year (french clubs do that, they focus on the top 14 and as soon as they have won it they start trying hard in the H-Cup).

I'd say Clermont by 10+

Thank you very much. But Clermont are still pretty much wimpy, though. They are just big babies in my opinion.
