Very tough to call this week ...

Saints vs. Bath - home win, no BP, away BP

Warriors vs. Chiefs - away win + BP

Sharks vs. L. Irish - home win, no BP, away BP

Tigers vs. Gloucester - home win, no BP

Falcons vs. Saracens - away win, no BP, home BP

Wasps vs. Quins - home win + BP

I can see London Irish giving Sale a scare. Sale's lineout was awful last Friday and Irish have a decent set-piece.

Tigers vs. Gloucester will be tasty too and is pretty much a must-win for O'Connor.

Webber and Evans likely to be back this week so I'm hoping we can at least retain most of our own throws this week :(

Irish have a nasty habit of upsetting us at home,
I still remember treking to Bolton to watch us throw away the game at the Reebok

Desperately need to win this one

1 Harrison,
2 Jones,
3 Tarus,
4 Evans,
5 Beaumont,
6 Ross (cc),
7 B.Curry,
8 Strauss,
9 De Klerk,
10 MacGinty,
11 Charnley,
12 Jennings,
13 James,
14 Solomona,
15 Addison (C)

Replacements: Webber, Flynn, Aulika, Ostrikov, T.Curry, Ioane, Cliff, Haley

First time Addison has played 15 since age grade. I'm not adverse to it, He's played well individually but don't think he's looked too good as a centre these last two weeks.
Haley has been hot and (mainly) cold for a while now so some genuine pressure will hopefully light a fire under him.
Presumably McGuigan is injured or else he'd be at 15.
First look at Charnley after his first full preseason in union. Hopefully he's learnt a lot and his awkward form last year was partly due to the very long season he had (Super League + playoffs then basically straight into union) combined with not knowing the game, And he can kick on now.

Our team is basically picking itself at the moment with so many players still missing. Pleased to see that Heathcote has made it after getting clattered last weekend but not sure why we're persisting with Olver on the bench? He's not ready for first team rugby yet - let him develop in the A-League.

All in all though feeling more positive going into this weekend than I did last time out, COME ON YOU WARRIORS!!!

Sharks vs. L. Irish - home win, no BP, away BP

I can see London Irish giving Sale a scare. Sale's lineout was awful last Friday and Irish have a decent set-piece.
Be interesting to see if the Sharks persist with Neild or if they bump him to the bench and start Marc Jones after last week's lineout turmoil against Newcastle...

Sam Underhill's first start for Bath. Bang up for that
What's the latest on how Chris Cook pulled up as well?

I honestly don't know what to expect from our trip to Welford Rd. They're without a win and playing much below their potential. We're being typically inconsistent.

What's the latest on how Chris Cook pulled up as well?
Part-way through his GRTP; from what I hear, he's unsymptomatic at rest, but I don't know what stage he's at, or even if he'd be ready to play if the match were a day later

We are missing the likes of
LCD
Devoto
Ewers.
And maybe waldrom too.

Them 4 are a big loss to this team for different reasons.

We should get a good win over worcester but ti discount them completely would idiotic. They give wasps a good run.

Stuart Hooper re: Bath's defence saying exactly what I was saying all last year re: Bath's defence. "Statistically" good in terms of not missing tackles (and not conceding tries) but passive. This year more missed tackles, better line speed, more aggression, more chances to get the ball back. Modern defence is about more than stopping tries.
