Bath Rugby will be forced to wait longer than expected for World Cup winner Stephen Donald to arrive in the West Country after his heroics in Sunday's final.

We wait with baited breath for the worlds greatest number 10 to grace us with his presence...

He did what Dan Carter, Carlos Spencer and Andrew Mehrtens couldn't!

So whatever outside half Bath sign in 2015 has a pretty good chance of winning the world cup.
Hopefully Priestland will be considered!

wish you had showed the picture of donalds belly poking out .Not sure id call a reasonably basic kick heroics but there you go

TBH, It shows real foresight on the part of the Bath management. They knew that Carter, Slade and Cruden were going to get injured in the RWC so made sure that they signed the RWC winning fly half.

On a more serious note... he'll come in way to late in the season for him to be of any use for a while. By the time he's up to speed I suspect he'll have blown our heineken chances and made sure we haven't got a shot at a home play off. At least he can tackle though.... and kick slightly better than Butch.

Barkley will be back by the time he comes back as well, and he's the better playmaker, even if he's at 12 rather than 10

Should mean Banahan is put back on the wing where he belongs, though

Meh. Donald will do alright. In fact most 1st 5/8ths from NZ do pretty well in the Aviva Premiership. He can kick well, tackle well, run hard and he'll give it 100%. I don't think he'll have too much trouble slotting in at that level, it's only in big test matches when he can be found wanting (as pretty much every English 1st 5/8th has since 2003).

Im predicting Donald will be one of, if not the top 1st 5 in the premiership. The style of play works to his strengths and hes not the kind of guy to coast along and not give it his all (Chris Jack)

Not at all, just younger and probably more dedicated. 3-4 years time he will be boss and Evans will be earning his last paycheck in Japan
I can see where you're coming from, but I'd say Evans is pretty comitted to Quins. He's still in contract until he's 33/34 (2013) and I remember him saying/implying, when he re-signed last year, that he'd see out his playing days for Quins if they'd have him

I would say where he belongs is in the forwards

Nah. Banahan doesn't have enough bottle to do basic forwards tasks such as hitting a ruck.

As for the "Donald becoming the top fly half" comment (was that Ranger or Ranger quoting Chris "no-chip-on-my-shoulder" Jack?).

Considering Donald was always amongst the top flyhalves in the super 14 and even lead them to the finals, i dont think its too far of a leap to make. His style of play doesn't fit with the All Blacks game plan, that doesn't mean hes a bad player.

Also, i assume youre making a reference, i dont get it

This made me laugh. He's probably faster than any other fly-half in the Premiership, bar Evans.
