Bath Rugby v Ulster

Hello squeaky bum time!

Right... breaking exclusive... BOTH teams' team talks - they're identical!

"Right lads... we made too many mistakes last week. They were shite, they won't be that shite again - so we've just got to cut out the errors and be less shite ourselves. Go get them boys!"

i didnt see the last game
do we have any new injurys??
and will cave be back for spence?? after spence's last game he may have just secured a spot for this game

The problem for Bath is that they play no rugby and they rely on their good defence and the other team making mistakes. If Ulster cut the mistakes they could win this.

It's pretty simple as far as I can see. With James, Bath will play rugby and probably win. With Vesty, bath will play no rugby and probably lose.

Rumours Steenson is coming home next season, would be a huge signing for Ulster, because of just how **** Humphries and O'Connor are. I know he doesn't want to play there but Pienaar at 10 and Marshall at 9 for the weekend please?

1. Court
2. Best
3. Botha
4. Muller
5. Tuohy
6. Ferris
7. Faloon
8. Wannenburg
9. Marshall
10. Pienaar
11. Trimble
12. Wallace
13. Cave
14. Danielli
15. D'arcy/Smith

Would be a huge improvement. Ulster are really missing Cave a lot, he adds so much to there backline. A fullback from the SH for next season and that looks like a team capable of getting out of the pool.

Marshall/Pienaar has much bandied around t'internet. I can see its charms and Pienaar has indicated a willingness to play 10 in general BUT

1) I feel iHumph's shatness has been much overstated. Flaky, yes, **** no. If he can keep his head together over a pressure game away (debatable in and of itself), he does deserve consideration
2) We'd be going into our biggest game of the season yet with a completely untried half-back pairing
3) Who's taking the kicks? Pienaar? Jesus, run up the White Flag now. Mincer? Kicks ok, but no particular range.
4) Lets not pretend Paul Marshall is Mr. Consistency himself, he's mixed very good performances with 'uhm' performances this season

To a certain extent, McLaughlin's job possibly rests on this. Would you make that gamble?

As for Cave, I've seen someone say he's possibly out for most of the season which would be a hammerblow if true. That said, Spence is a talented wee bugger and a sustained run could be the making of him. He might even learn to pass the ball. But I wouldn't expect him to be playing.

If someone could gurantee me Butch James and Luke Watson will be sat in the stands for this one too I'd be happy. If they could add to that gurantee "Stephen Ferris will give a repeat performance" I might even edge to optimistic.

Bath: 15 Jack Cuthbert, 14 Matt Carraro, 13 Olly Barkley, 12 Shontayne Hape, 11 Matt Banahan, 10 Butch James, 9 Michael Claassens (capt), 8 Simon Taylor, 7 Lewis Moody, 6 Andy Beattie, 5 Danny Grewcock, 4 Stuart Hooper, 3 David Wilson, 2 Lee Mears, 1 David Flatman.
Replacements: 16 Pieter Dixon, 17 David Barnes, 18 Duncan Bell, 19 Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe, 20 Ben Skirving, 21 Mark McMillan, 22 Sam Vesty, 23 Nick Abendanon.

Ulster: 15 Adam D'Arcy, 14 Andrew Trimble, 13 Nevin Spence, 12 Paddy Wallace, 11 Simon Danielli, 10 Ian Humphreys, 9 Ruan Pienaar, 8 Robbie Diack, 7 Willie Faloon, 6 Pedrie Wannenburg, 5 Dan Tuohy, 4 Johann Muller (capt), 3 BJ Botha, 2 Nigel Brady, 1 Tom Court.
Replacements: 16 Andi Kyriacou, 17 Paddy McAllister, 18 Bryan Young, 19 Tim Barker, 20 Chris Henry, 21 Paul Marshall, 22 Ian Whitten, 23 Jamie Smith.

Ferris missing the match through an injury picked up in training

Since when has Barkley been playing 13? Is it because Hape is considered a 12 for England, so Bath now play him there instead of Barkley?
Odd choice, can't really see Barkley playing 13, he makes a good semi-flyhalf-12 can't see his game working at 13 though

Bath to win, they got James back and Ulster are missing Ferris, not to metion they are playing away.

Ferris is made of glass. Ulster have still picked a good backrow though. Robbie Diack is their most athletic number 8 and Willie Faloon is easily the best 7 in their squad (even if he's a tad undersized). Pedrie Wannenburg is a one trick pony (to borrow a phrase, Ferris has a whole field of ponies) and is best used as an impact sub but he's a very competent replacement at blindside flanker.

Been watching the apprentice have we Snoop? ;)

The only logical reason I can think of is that Sugar's a eunuch. It wouldn't be a business decision, because he's got **** all business sense!

Top work by Humphries (both kicking and in general play) - Should get MOTM imo

Edit: Oh my days! What a run from Pienaar from that scrum! Brought down a metre or so from the line
