Brisbane - The Australian Rugby Union is investigating an incident at a Brisbane hotel last night, where two high-profile Wallabies players were refused entry.

The Herald has been told the players were Kurtley Beale and Quade Cooper, who are not involved in tomorrow night's Test against Wales at Suncorp Stadium.

It is understood there was a scuffle at the Victory Hotel - a popular pub with students and army personnel - involving one of the players, and police were called. No arrests were made.

It is believed the scuffle broke out after the high-profile pair, who had previously left the venue, wanted to resume drinking but were denied access in the early hours of Friday morning.

CCTV footage caught vision of the incident and the pair could face further police questioning.

"We've been made aware of an incident overnight and are still making our own enquiries," an ARU spokesperson confirmed.

"As a matter of process the issue will be referred to an ARU disciplinary review procedure. We have nothing further to add at this stage."

Former Wallabies team manager and federal policeman Phil Thomson is the ARU integrity officer and will be in charge of the disciplinary review.

The ARU could not comment on whether Beale would be unavailable due to disciplinary reasons.

"It's now a matter of a disciplinary procedure," the spokesperson said.

Cooper and Beale are close friends and, along with fellow backline star James O'Conner, were also involved in an alleged night-time incident in Paris at the end of the 2010 Spring Tour which they dismissed as "boys being boys".

Released from the Wallabies squad last weekend, Cooper was due to attend a Reds business breakfast on Friday morning but made his apologies due to a "sore throat"

Wait, didn't this happen before???

Umm, as it mentioned it happened in Paris 2010. That being said, they've both had seperate burglary charges in the past...

Please enlighten me in regard to Beale's "burglary charge". I recall he was done for driving over the limit and without a licence some years ago.
