Berbard Gallacher critical in Hospital

Bernie now 64, who is a winning Ryder Cup Captain and was the youungest guy to win the Euopean PGA until Mannessero took it this year, is seriously ill in hospital in Scotland having been taken ill while giving a speech there today.

He is a great guy and good companion anywhere, including and especially in a bar, and I wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Heart attack...third night in hospital....Renton Laidlaw, who has known him for 50 years, says "he is stable and sedated but critical, However, as does not drink nor smoked and is fit so hopefully will make a good recovery".

No news is good news they say and it would seem to be true......Scotsman report today that Bernie is "now in a stable condition".

Good news......Stephen G, his nephew, was interviewed at Crabs Sur Sierre and said his uncle is eating and drinking on his own a little and slept without exteral assistance last night....due out of ICU soon!
