Sorry bud, this post was too long to fully read, I got a third through it and you claimed there was no evidence... Well, when fans of their own team are booing, as I witnessed in France v Uraguay, that's a pretty conclusive peice of evidence that a ref is being bad. The Taofafina non red card caused a French rugby fan to throw his plastic cup at the screen and storm out ranting about rugby being a closed door club for the big 2 tournaments. There are also hosts of former refs etc analysing decisions with absolute confusion, see Currys red, Taofafinias non red, Argentina contact to Welsh head deemed no foul play, Portugals fullback getting carded etc... I personally think this has been the worst world cup in living memory, I dont particularly complain about the draw, but I get why some do. The French have been poor hosts IMO, there have been issues with anthems, logistics, price gouging, access to video, and some horrific crimes reported on in cities on match days. And that's before I mention the rugby, i have enjoyed maybe 5 games of the 35 or so I've seen... Wales v Fiji Portugal v Fiji Ireland v SA SA v France Ireland v NZ The group stages were too long, 5 weeks in I had spent 9 and 5 days in France, and by the 1/4 finals I was pretty fatigued with rugby. I think Japan will be known as the last ever real RWC, as we head into a new age of rugby union, a sanitised and more technical less spectical version.
