Boudjellal and the American Dream.

First time I'm going to say this Boudjellal has the best idea for expansion into America.

He wants to twin Toulon with Miami RF (to be called RCT Miami) with the idea that more Top 14 owners and prob the likes of Craig will join him in twinning other clubs, to join the Pro rugby comp (prob in summer) and he wants to send 10 or 12 Toulon players to play in it whilst also sharing coaching set ups etc.

Which as it says is very similar to what Racing Metro is already doing in the Austin).

Honestly if anything is going to work this will be it.

And if I was Pro rugby I would snap his hand off.

Interesting idea, agree that it could be the best way to build rugby in the US.

How is this Boudjellal's idea though? It explicitly says in the article he is following Racing's lead. And don't Saracens have their own little satellite club in the US too?

It's his idea to try and put them in the pro rugby thing.

i'd rather have european clubs injecting cash into north american clubs like saracens have done (seattle saracens play in canadian competitions btw) than PRO rugby

Yeah, aside from Boudjellal's less than professional character - you want to develop your own sides, not your own franchise versions of Euro clubs.
