There has been a lull in this World Cup the last two weeks, once the pools have largely been decided. Like once NZ beat SA we know ABs will top pool B and the Boks finish second. Wales beating Australia, decided pool D.

Now we only waiting to find out the order of where Pool C will finish and if Scotland can turn it around in pool A and win their final two matches and prevent the host nation getting through to their first quarter final. So it has made games less interesting as contests.

Yeah Red cards have "spoiled" some games and turned the games into less of a contest. But all I have seen have been bang on. And I think that might help when it comes to knockout rugby.
