I was wondering, how many people can dance nowadays.

Forty years ago, everyone could dance, because you couldn't get away with mioving around a bit on the tones of the music. But I don't hink anyone can actually dance nowadays.

So, let me know, and satisfy my hunger for trivial information.

I am the king of Dance, No one compares to me, just come on a TRF Meetup and you will see ;)

I'm not kidding on the 'dancing' :p

Just moving your hips a bit is nto dancing. Slow dance, is not dancing if you just shuffle around a bit.
Knowing where to put your feet, at what time, and in what rhytm, now that could be dancing :p

If you can waltz, you can vote fred astair :p Since a Waltz is still fairly easy.

Would it be better if I took off the public vote, meaning people can't see who voted for what? xD

I can dance like snoop dogg but im guessing that doesnt count. I never dance at clubs anyway I just sit down or stand.

Rap killed any serious dancing. People prefer to look cool and do a two step then to actually try anything different. My answer is, used to be, been dissillusioned with the fact that trying to dance good in a club or whatever can actually draw dirty looks from blokes coz I ain't doing the two step....these days who knows, don't really try anymore...

Does this count as dancing?

I feel I can dance better when staring at hot South African women. I very much doubt it's the case, it's just because I'm heavily focused on something other than what my limbs are doing.

I can dance Tecktonik and Hip Hop !!!
[/b]
My sister recently came back from france, got some videos, that Tecktonik stuff is some of the stupidest **** I've ever seen :)

Just checked out some videos on Youtube. Looked more like self induced seizures to me.

Those videos here weren't exactly the sort of dancing I meant no :p

I was talking about the sort of dancing you do in couples, ballroom dancing and such.
Even rock and roll counts as dancing to me :p People used to be able to find the rhytm to any tune, and they were able to actually dance to that rhytm.
I don't want to get back to the sort of dances where you have to know each and every single step (18th Century sort of dancing) to be able to join, but the jumping around, 'seizure' movements (glad I'm not the first one to use that word :p ) sort of dancing doesn't seem all that fun to me.

I looked up tecktonic on Youtube, it's not really very active is it? Then again, here in Flanders (and in the Netherlands) kids are doing a dance caleld 'jump'.
It looks as if they're trying to kill a cat by kicking it or something but anyway:

That kid miss-spelled 'Brittish' :s
Still haven't seen it entirely (computer's lagging) but right now, I just feel like pushing that kid over when he's 'jumping'. Fine if you want to Jump, but in a museum?

***takes enormous swig of Johnny Walker before admitting to this***

Yeah, my wife dragged me off to latin & ballroom dancing classes before our wedding. So I can kinda help myself with it.

Although I obviously prefer headbanging/moshing to some real music with real guitars, especially at the odd live gig. Fortunately the missus also enjoys that, so yeah, we`ll still occasionally go out for dinner & dancing. But more often to some live gig to really get down to some serious moshing!

Just out of curiosity,a nd not asking because I'm planning to bribe another specimen of the male kind into it, but how did she convince you to go?

That wedding video is so cute xD It notices that they're not familiar with waltzing though xD

She performed 57 different sexual favours! Just kidding.......

No, actually dancing`s been a passion of hers since forever. And since we were going to have this massive wedding reception with 200-odd guests, well I had to learn or look like a right royal idiot.

Younger yes, but one night, during a party, i accidentally let go the girl i was dancing with.
She violently stopped a wall made of stones with her head. :wall:
A promising dancer career and a potential romantic night ended at the emergency. :(

HAHAHA, that's hillarious! It's like every slapstick comedy with dancing in it in history :D
