changing players

i do have the ps2 version of rugby 2005 and if i do play with all blacks for example i normaly play dan carter as number 12 because of his excellent kicking game. but if carlos spencer gets injured is their a way to bring on another center an switch carter to number 10? and if how do i do that? right now it never worked? switching the position of a player during the game does not work...am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?

It's not a bug, just lazyness on the part of EA. Positional changes can't be made during the game, something which is a complete joke but you just have to live with sadly.

it's been possible in ea sports 2004. it's a shame that they changed that.
