Hello gents,

I've been looking at the logs. Cheetahs are currently 5th with two games left, Blues and Stormers.

We have a very, very good chance of staying in a play-off position. TBH even if we make the play-offs and lose I'll still be a very happy man for my team. If we make the semis... Don't even want to think about that, I think it'll make me more excited than a Bok game. I don't know what the status of Goosen is, and I don't want him rushed back, but if he is recovering well and can perhaps start playing some club rugby...

What do you guys think will happen?

It depends on what happens with your bok-players. If they come back unscathed, then you have a real good chance.

You also have a bye, which is guaranteed 4 points. So you really are in with a shout! It just depends on how you play vs the Blues, as that game will be the make or break game.

I'll be surprised if the Cheetahs make the final but I'll also be surprised if they don't make the QFs. Thankfully they've remained injury free apart form Goosen and that and their newly found commitment in defense are the reasons they are doing so well; they've always been a team that can score tries but have made a habit of losing close games because of the big holes they used to have in defense and they were a team with some stars but no depth and were average in the 2nd row and centers but Lood and Sadie have helped fill those holes. If they remain injury free anything can happen; exciting times in Bloem.

Cheetahs should really learn how to use their altitude advantage. They drop too many games at home.

Well they do play at a high tempo. The only other thing I can think of is if they could fine tune their kicking game. What did you have in mind?
and hence why they run out of steam quicker and lose the match. At higher altitude players run and sprint 11 percent less than at altitude. Reason why the Bulls play the way they play and why they have on of thee best home records in the history of Super Rugby together with the Crusaders.
