I don't think Scott Johnson is the problem it's dumb and dumber Sean Holley and Jonathan Humphries, until we get rid of these two nothing will change.
Agree about Holley and Humphries; but Scott Johnson is indeed a problem.I don't think Scott Johnson is the problem it's dumb and dumber Sean Holley and Jonathan Humphries, until we get rid of these two nothing will change.
I look back at the HC match in Biarritz as the turning point (granted they did win the Magners after, but still). I can't help but wonder how things would have been different if they had indeed have won.to be fair to Johnson, he hasn't exactly been less successful than any other Ospreys coaches,
in fact towards the end of the 2009/10 season was probably the best the Ospreys have ever played, unfortunately couldn't manage the Heineken Cup quarter final win though but far better than all of the previous efforts
I think if Johnson is going then Holley should follow as well
Good. Johnson is a fool. He does nothing but complain about anything and everything. He might not be the only problem at the Ospreys, but his whinging just makes them look bad. Holley and Humphreys are lucky to still be involved after so many years of not very much. They need to bring in a propper coach who is free to appoint his own backroom staff, none of this 'elite performance director' crap.
The current coaches seem unable to differentiate between second rows and back-rows, they belive JT is a better 8 than Ryan Jones, and currently have an obsession with starting Barry Davies ahead of any other fullback on their books, despite giving Fussell the majority of gametime there this season. Biggar has been given a free ride for over two seasons, and despite having some good games, he generally bottles it when it counts (their last HC game for exaple).

They started playing JT at 8 after the summer tour to NZ last year where he played quite well. Ryan Jones is more suited to 6 nowadays, hes too slow for 8. As for fullback Fussell started and had a shocker in the first Sarries match and was then ruled out by injury for the return fixture. I think he was still recovering so wasn't selected against the Scarlets and to be honest Barry Davies hasn't done anything bad enough to warrant being dropped.
"ahead of any other fullback on their books" umm... What other fullbacks? Gareth Owen is injured and i guess the only other guy they could play there is Tom Prydie who has been away with 7's and has yet to play senior rugby at fullback yet.
Do you actually follow Ospreys rugby or are you just another armchair critic?
