Cross kicks?

Ok, now I've been messing with the set plays a bit and most of them work really well, but I can't for the life of me ever get the cross kick to work?! It either just goes to the opposite winger or I over run the ball. I can't ever catch it... Does anyone have any special techniques?

It's damn hard on classic 2 view, in the end I've given up. You have to set kick height distance and timing to a running winger you can't see - far too hard.

I just do sort-of cross box kicks with the scrum half.

Even when I jump I miss the ball though... and the AI just catches it on the burst, it's very annoying.

have you tried to let the ai winger get the ball?

or does it automatically go straight to the winger for your control?

bugger, i would have known that if i had the game

just practice i guess if ya find a way post it so we will know when we finally get the game
