If you were to pick your current World XV, right this minute, what would it be? (Assuming no unavailibilities.)
I know stuff all about the french and only watch some Northern stuff, so here's my Kiwi-tinted view:
1. J. Moody
2. D. Coles
3. T. Furlong
4. B. Retallick
5. M. Itoje
6. S. Kolisi - Would normally say Kaino but can't really pick him right now.
7. S. O'Brien - Pocock would be an automatic selection if he wasn't taking the year off.
8. K. Read
9. A. Smith - Just ahead of Murray for me.
10. B. Barrett
11. R. Ioane
12. SBW - Just edges Crotty and Beale. Also considered Fofana, but don't know enough about him.
13. J. Davies
14. I. Folau - Think he'd be dynamite here with this side. Also in awesome form.
15. B. Smith

16. A. Creevy
17. M. Vunipola
18. O. Franks
19. E. Etzebeth
20. B. Vunipola
21. C. Murray
22. O. Farrell
23. A. Watson

So who have I left out or wrongly included?

(Poll just for fun :p)

Don't know about Folau...

No unavailabilities I'd have Pocock at 7, regardless of no recent form to base it on... just sight unseen. But if you need the basis of form, the only Australian I could see cracking the squad is Alan Alaalatoa at tighthead.

Irrespective of Form/Injury:

1. Moody
2. Coles
3. Furlong
4. Itoje
5. Retallick
6. Faletau
7. Hooper
8. Read
9. Smith
10. Barrett
11. Ioane
12. Beale
13. Crotty
14. Watson
15. Smith
16. George
17. Vunipola
18. Franks
19. Etzebeth
20. O'Brien
21. Vunipola
22. Murray
23. Farrell

Yea if Pocock was playing he'd almost definitely be a lock-in. Just didn't seem fair to pick him since there's no form to base it off.
As for Folau, I reckon he's an awesome player... poses as much threat with ball in hand as just about anyone and is an aerial specialist.... I think having him on the wing for the Barrett cross-kicks would be deadly. And I think he's been in good form with the Wallabies so far this year....

My attempt:
1. Moody
2. Coles (just edges Creevy who is remarkable)
3. Franks (Furlong got shown up by Moody)
4. Retallick
5. Whitelock
6. Kolisi
7. Pocock (I assume he's selectable?)
8. Read
9. Smith
10. Barrett
11. Ioane
12. Crotty
13. Davies
14. NMS
15. Smith

16. Creevy
17. Vunipola
18. Furlong
19. Itoje
20. Savea (the best sub back row in the world, not saying I'd rate him higher than Cane, Kaino etc.)
21. Murray
22. Farrell
23. Folau

Farrell is covering 10 and 12 on my bench.
Fair enough, more of a world 23 that's being picked.

FWIW I reckon Sexton has been the best 10 at international level in the past 12 months. (he did stink the place out for Leinster in his last two Pro 12 games) A 2-1 record over Barrett when he starts and being integral in wins over England and France clinches it for me in comparison to Barrett's, at times, costly inconsistency. The blackmark is obviously the yellow card against Wales but the damage those 10 minutes, as well as the 5 he was off for a HIA, shows how integral he is for one of the strongest sides in the world. In my opinion he is the most underrated player in rugby.

1) Joe Moody
2) Dane Coles
3) Rabah Slimani
4) Brodie Retallick
5) Eben Etzebeth
6) Maro Itoje
7) David Pocock
8) Kieron Reid
9) Connor Murray
10) Jonathan Sexton
11) Reiko Ioane
12) Owen Farrell
13) Elliot Daly
14) Ben Smith
15) Anthony Watson

16) Malcolm Marx
17) Mako Vunipola
18) Tadhg Furlong
19) Courtney Lawes
20) Ardie Savea
21) Tj Perenara
22) Beauden Barrett
23) Israel Folau

I think it's a mix of brilliant form and the fact that there aren't really any other standout options..... who'd be next? Nadolo?

If he had an international career to speak of I'd be tempted to say Charles Piutau makes it instead of Ioane.

In terms of form Jonny May looks bang on with 5 tries in 3 games for a new team that's heavily underperforming and giving the backs sh*t ball.

He was always very good but seems to be raising his game at Tigers. One of the best finishers out there and few are faster. His work-rate is also outstanding.
