Defensive Set Plays

Yeah but to move your player around the defensive line you must use the directional buttons.
 
i had the same problem with my adaptor controller....you do both of them at the same time...stupid aye
 
Anyone know what the defensive set plays actually are then on PS2?
There was a comment on another thread about 3 of them being on the wrong direction - but the "pocket" one confuses me, where the fullback come charging up into the defensive line.

Does this mean this is actually tight - in which case is "Tight" the old "Wide" ... or has it all just gone ***s up?!

I don't get it because my PS2 manual has two different configerations for defensive moves. They have the one you mention above and..


up = kick
down= tight
left = standard
right = wide

Can any one clarify which is the correct one for PS2 version?

You read the manual??! Damn, I never even thought of that approach!!!!!

That makes more sense of why the fullback would come up if Down is actually tight - and Right is then Wide instead of tight ... c'mon EA, how tough would it have been to spot this in playtesting??!!
