Renowned for his pace for a big man , Lote Tuqiri had a very useful set of skills to go with it to make him a complete winger in any era of rugby

One of the hardmen and leaders in the England team that won the 2003 world cup, Lawrence Dallaglio
He was a go forward player and a hard hitter.

Jerry Collins as tough as nails and one of the biggest hitters in the game.
definitely a legend and will be remembered for a long time, a humble workhorse with a devastatingly tackle.

RIP JERRY

Its difficult to stand out as a hardman in South African rugby ,but only a few men rises to the challenge among so many known tough rugby players in South Africa, in our modern day rugby a lot is asked from our players but the foundation on what rugby was build on is toughness in the face of fear and i believe theres not a lot of guys that could stand among Duane vermeulen.

''Burger as he's done the last game, just taking the Irish defence on , his so hard and i don't know how long he will last in this game, it will be a quite short career if he keeps on playing like that.'' - Irish commentary 2004
Schalk
finished 15 years later after that comment was made, he stands testament to what it is to be the ultimate warrior between the four white lines.

You can love him or hate him ,but dont stand in his way.The South African nr 4 jersey has been known as the most dominant sight in the last 20 years , but has been worn by one man the last couple of years, and he needs no introduction as the most dominant enforcer in world rugby to date.
