So there is Fresh news In the East.. just found out that in 2014 there is a new tournament coming which will include top teams from Georgia-Romania-Russia-Ukraine. from what i heard the structure will be similar to Heineken Cup and the winner qualifies for the Amlin Cup ..This is the best rugby news I've heard all year !! changes can be made til 2014 maybe more countries involved ? possibilities are endless.

In Romania we have no official news about this, just some rumours. On the other hand, from next season, the Wolves will be replaced by the champion, currently RCM Timisoara, in the Amlin Cup.

Very interesting! A very positive step when there is only bad news about Europe - so let's hope there still is an Amlin Cup. Hopefully the next few steps will be a few Eastern teams in the Amlin. Any chance of a link?

Interesting development. I wonder if the ERC have any say in this since it seems like a direct response to the Premiership clubs' desire for a 3rd tier European competition.
