I've been saying(/hoping) his future was at 13 for a while, excited to see if he actually plays there for England not just Saints
The headline is misleading, reading the article he doesn’t say his future is at 13 at all. Sounds like the interviewer had an agenda and forced it into the discussion.
“I think [I want to be a 13]. As you get a bit older and your legs get a bit slower I’ll probably have to come in one [position]. For now, I’m a wing and a 13 but then as we get on [I want to be a] 13 who can go on the wing."
So when he starts slowing down at 32 he will look to move to 13. That’s quite a way off.
HHmm i got the impression he was looking to move there sooner rather than just when he slows down. That would be good for England and Saints.
But as he said himself that depends on Saints and how much gametime he gets there. They do have some good options at centre and wing...but he could be very good there.

Yep the article suggests he wants to start training and playing more at 13 from this season. Feels like it’s more serious than just future proofing against eventual speed loss.
I’m generally in favour of players trying out different positions. What’s best at 14 isn’t necessarily the best at 24 and if nothing else it gives a wider appreciation of the game. But just need to be careful about jacks of all trades and masters of none.
Theres going to be some selection issues soon...
