England A vs New Zealand XV - 08/11/25

and it's just a terrible product, watching European Rugby on there is a pain

I'll probably get a month of it on the day, just cause of FOMO

From memory they're very dodgy with their monthlys, so I recommend doing it through Amazon Prime - I remember around European Rugby time last year people finding out they were locked into a 12 month contract they couldn't get out of, thinking they could just cancel and then resub for the next rounds

Why the hell have TNT not bought this?
England A vs NZ XV 1315
Scotland vs NZ 1510
England vs Fiji. 1740

It's primed for NZ fans and England Fans. Only conflict is Ireland vs Japan which I'm not fussed about personally.

22. Rekeiti Ma'asi-White (Sale Sharks, uncapped)

Feel pretty underwhelmed tbh, doubt I'll pay for it
Feels like they've got a core of A team players they're not willing to move on from - despite this being outside the EPS so not having the restrictions on changing players out
Like why is Atkinson starting at 10? His last start there was 7 months ago - no 10 on the bench, as well, so i guess Ojomoh covers from the pitch
Englefield is always in these too, and like....with all due respect...why?
Roots/Pearson flank partnership doesn't exactly scream development/pathway
Not keen on Hodge at 15 either, when Hendy isn't getting a sniff
Lockett over Bamber is BS

I have Premier Sports so I guess I’ll be watching.
I agree, the team is pretty underwhelming though.

Agree. Underwhelming indeed. Won't be watching it anyway on that channel.

Josh Hodge getting picked is frustrating, his defence still not good, not really developed since 19 and now he's 25. Furbank is 29 and injury prone. Carpenter is the future but we need 1 more. Hodge is never playing at international level so its a wasted pick. Atkinson at 10 does feels odd too, its never happening at top level either. Farrell is getting a return before we see Atkinson play 10 for England. Roots/Pearson is a bit boring I get it but they're the next cab of the ranks here. Your talking 12 or 13th choice back row selection when everyone is fit England have a lot of back row injuries so I get the starts for them.

Some excitement though, the centres, Noah on wing, Fisilau and most players from the bench. So not all bad.

Managed to find a stream for this

Performance about as expected from the named team
Scrum second best but just about competitive enough to not be getting penalised
Atkinson looks like he's not played 10 in an age
Really poor from Hall just before halftime, clean through but the ball bounces off his chest because he didn't have his hands up - day 1 rugby, really. Even if you're a dummy line you've got to expect the ball

OHC probably the pick of the side from the first half (from an England perspective)

OHC off injured,
Came down heavy from a competition in the air - played a phase or two more but then was subbed, maybe his hip? Was limping anyway

I joke about it a lot but Blamire's been poor,
He's looked good with Tigers this season so was hoping he'd turned a corner, maybe he needs to be part of a settled lineout/system and the nerves make him wobble?

Caluori being tactically shown up this half, been good receiving/chasing kicks but defensively all over the place

I'd like to see RMW on at 12 and Ojomoh go to 10, three tries down and 15 to go, there's nothing to lose

I would imagine Parling is miles better than what’s at the England A set up in terms of Blamire

For me
Front row was very disappointing
Hall should never have been in the squad over Woodward (RMW starting 13 and Woodward bench)
Atkinson is not a 10 and England need to stop forcing it
Roots has done nothing

Pearson and the two wingers looked good
Hodge does Hodge things
The two 9’s have looked good

England forcing it?
He's been a 10 for his entire career, including age-grade.
Before this season, when he's possibly Gloucester''s 3rd choice FH, he'd played all of 7 matches away from the 10 shirt.

He's not a GOOD FH, but it's absolutely his position.

AOF at LHP is England forcing it.
CAtkinson spending his entire career at FH is not.
