England v Argentina

Shame for Dingwall, but excited to see Ojomoh in
Unfortunate it's as a late change though, he's only had one(?) week in camp, so doubt he's had that many reps with the starting squad

He's been there from the first training camp - only dropping out in order to play against NewZealand XV
But yes, he won't have had many training sessions as an expected starter.
Kinda worst case scenario really - with him not having trained "properly" there, and being paired with Slade - with whom I'd expect him to form the least effective centre partnership of all the options (including SAtikinson, RMW, Hartley, Woodward, Joseph etc)

We have the team. Felipe Contepomi announced the starting XV. Some impact players entering from the bench.

Fraser Dingwall has been ruled out injured with Max Ojomoh coming in,

Whilst I like Ojomoh and glad he's included, I'm worried about this backline in terms of cohesion, new 12 13 14 against a very good attacking team. Really hoping Ojomoh goes well and Slade tbh, I'd say others should be ahead of him but he is still a good player who played very well last time vs them.

Langdon still recovering from surgery may have hooker 3 if not out.
Blake needs RFU to find more A games.
Barberry personally for me a tad lazy at hooker

That’s sport. One man’s misfortune is another’s opportunity.

Bit disappointing that SB didn’t have the courage of his convictions and play Earl at 12 from the off.

I’m joking. I think.

Six forwards as finishers seems to be a very phisical game.
Probably a direct response to how England have been loading our bench with forwards. Matera and Oviedo being kept in reserve to counter our cavalry.

Interesting lineup and has some interesting parallels to England’s. With Dingwall out, we now have a rookie 12 with a highly experienced 13, which is a similar to dynamic to the Piccardo/Molina pairing.

That’s a heavyweight back row for Argentina, but I think England should have the edge in the scrum. Conversely, I think Argentina will have the better lineout.

If We/England are to keep momentum going towards the six nations, and also towards WC 2027 then this is a must win game. We know though that the Pumas will go for the full 80! Any slight drop in intensity and they will take advantage! We have to be on point for this one!

Whilst I want England to win and continue momentum, with the injuries and shuffles taken place I don’t really see it as a must win, I’d have preferred one of Daly or Slade playing to bring the experience, it’s just unfortunate that the injuries are pretty concentrated. After how they turned it on against the Scots the other week I do have concerns over their attack carving us open at the back, a backline featuring Daly, Steward and Slade really is lacking in pace.
