Underhill might give him a run for his money the way he's been throwing himself about this seasonAny money on the Ewels Red Card Hat Trick ?![]()
I have to agree with that !Underhill might give him a run for his money the way he's been throwing himself about this season
And that could be the starting line up for the second test if Ford was unavailable for it.A 6:2 split with 3 specialist wingers in the 23 is just setting ourselves up for failure. If any of Ford, Atkinson, Slade or Steward go down we're screwed.
We're one George Ford injury away from:
10. Slade
12. Dombrandt
13. Atkinson
in a Tier 1 international test match…
Steward is the lock coverThere's a lot to not like there, really
Ewels, Slade, Muir, Steward, Dan, no lock on the bench, Dombrandt still stealing a living
Still, at least we've got a 12 now
Posted exactly this on another forum. Probably the reason Spencer is in over JvP too.Don't like that at all.
Muir, Roebuck and Steward all selected suggests we are going to kick, kick, kick and then kick some more.
Ewels is just
Underhill playing feels as dodgy as Ringrose in the 6Ns.
Still persisting with Dan and Dombrandt. Dan I get that Borthwick nailed his colours to the mast even though I don't like it, but with a fully fit squad Dombrandt ain't getting near the 23. Better to give another lock some experience.
6:2 bench with only a SH and a winger is just a disaster waiting to happen. I suppose Borthwick's logic is that Slade can cover 10, Steward and Dombrandt can cover 12/13 and one of the wingers, possibly Roebuck can cover 15, but that's a lot of juggling that is liable to come crashing down.
I live in hope that Borthwick will prove me wrong, but I'm not hopeful enough to be that hopeful.
