Draw took place in Warsaw today, thankfully not a drawn out affair, merely putting the teams in the groups in the order which they came out, not like the champions league where they draw the team, the pool they're to go into and the position they're to take in the group.

Anyway some interesting groups, probably premature considering there's a world cup to come in the Summer but good to know who we're facing afterwards.

EURO 2012 QUALIFYING GROUPS
Group A: Germany, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan
Group B: Russia, Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, FYR Macedonia, Armenia, Andorra
Group C: Italy, Serbia, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Estonia, Faroe Islands
Group D: France, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belarus, Albania, Luxembourg
Group E: Holland, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Moldova, San Marino
Group F: Croatia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Georgia, Malta
Group G: England, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Wales, Montenegro
Group H: Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Cyprus, Iceland
Group I: Spain, Czech Republic, Scotland, Lithuania, Liechtenstein

Reasonable draw for Ireland, will be easier as well if Hiddink moves on.

Not the best of draws though for the home nations, Northern Ireland will do well to even come third in their group, same applies for Scotland. Wales won't be too thrilled either, neither will England considering the groups they could have got, all teams are capable of taking points off them, never something you want especially from the lowest ranked side. At least there's a best runner-up spot available this time round.

I don't know about others but Georgia's fate is dark

I love how the news was reporting this the other night, "Wales has been drawn up against England! Argh! The old enemy!"
Not really.
We don't compare to england in roundyball and nobody really cares that we've been drawn up against them. Cardiff still wanna kick swansea's heads in (and vice versa) and they briefly lift their heads up for this as a chance to fight the English. But in regards to the sport...nah, i doubt the English are thinking about us either.

Tough draw for us there. Toshak however is deveroping a veru exciting side that will be around for years. This competition is possibly one too early, but this group of players will finally end Wales' poor run of failing to qualify for a majour competition imo.

England really won't be looking forward to be playing us, as we're certainly capable of beating them on our day with the quality of attack we now have in the likes of Bale, Ramsey and Ledley. Although in reality we shouldn't pose too much problems for the men in white considering the vast player base available to them.

Our u21's are fantastic as well atm, so we could see plenty of them step up into the senior side, which would make a very exciting side!
