Okay. So while we wait for the rugby how about we put forward some fantasy XVs. I'm not talking about a world XV or whatever but rather, for whatever reasons what would be your current dream club XV.

You can enter any league (and make changes to league policies) and either start from scratch or take your favorite existing team and fill her out. Are you picking players for combinations you'd like to see, individual ability, 'tribal' reasons, just your favrite player or just plain good looks?

Let me kick it off with mine which is my WP dream XV playing in Super Rugby as Western Province (lets ditch the silly Stormers tag and play old-school WP methode Cap classique rugby!!). So my team uses a WP base for 'tribal' reasons and fills gaps with players that I see as fitting in with the 'style' of rugby I want to see.

1 Steven Kitshoff - a ginger giant? Yes, please, gib back!
2 Schalk Brits - ex WP player and we miss him (now). 3rd center.
3 Vincent Koch
4 Eben Etzebeth
5 Pieter-Steph du Toit - on his way home so one step closer even if we are losing a number of others next year
6 Schalk Burger (c)
7 Francois Louw
8 Duane Vermeulen
9 Aaron Smith - plays the type of rugby I want to see and here behind a dominant pack
10 Handre Pollard - come home, beloved of the Boland!
11 Nemani Nadolo - we lack size in the back three, lets overcompensate!
12 Damian de Allende
13 Jesse Kriel - born in Cape Town even if not 'made'. I'm claiming him
14 Willie le Roux - another Bolandse klong to come home
15 Ben Smith - because a man can dream!

16 WP Nel - because he can play hooker, is a dynamic fatty and his name is WP FFS (also from here)
17 Frans Malherbe - I love that overweight boys can play pro sports still
18 Lood de Jager - I have to include extended family and the guy looks cuddly
19 Nizaam Carr - a bit of finesse off of the bench
20 Francois Hougaard - another Boland boy returning home here - utility
21 Beauden Barret - because of impact off the bench and versatility
22 SBW - because we have enough cover for 15 in the run on XV and Sonny could bring the Cape Crusaders over to WP if anyone could
23 Uini Antonio - because he is very fat and named weenie

So lets see them..

Nice XVs there! I had a few good laughs to boot and @Orange you are very welcome. I've just been a bit bored and tired of the hair splitting that has been going on in a number of threads and thought some fantasy XVs might cheer me up which it has done.

I suppose its no wonder we all went with adding to the existing teams we support. I see tribalism is alive and well and one does tend to get attached to the players in ones team.

If I had a team from scrtach..

The Jagerstad Jagers:

1 Steven Kitshoff
2 Bismarck du Plessis
3 Uini Antonio
4 Will Skelton
5 Lood de Jager
6 David Pocock
7 Schalk Burger (c)
8 Duane Vermeulen
That 1 ton scrum!

9 Faf de Klerk
10 Handre Pollard

11 Nemai Nadolo
12 Damian de Allende
13 Israel Folau
14 Waisake Naholo
15 Nehe Milner-Skudder

1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
6) Ur
7)
8)
9) Mum
10)
11)
12)
13)
14)
15)

This is probably why you have all those specific medals you do because I don't get it!?

1. Vunipola (Make up for Francis' lack of workrate in front row)
2. LCD
3. Francis
4. Launchbury (One more world class player would make it a formidable pack)
5. Parling
6. Ewers
7. Salvi
8. Waldrom
9. Chudley
10. Slade
11. Nowell
12. Hill
13. Campagnaro
14. Piutau
15. Ben Smith

Only 4 additions, but would make it a near champion team imo

Saracens, If we got in the guys I believe we need to give us a better chance against the French teams in Europe.
1.Mako Vunipola- Wouldn't change him at all
2.Brits- Again world class
3.A fully fit Figallo
4.Kruis
5.Itoje-Future Captain

8.Vunipola-Most of the pack I'm very happy with.
Backs have loads of changes

10.Farrell-Good kicker and hopefully will come along in the next few years.
11.Savea- We need a carrying presence in the backs
12.Toomua-Take pressure off Farrell playing wise, hard runner too.
13.Tuilagi-Strong carrier and when fit is unstoppable.
14.Naholo- Incredible finisher
