Now up on the prem site

We start our campaign with Saints at home - glad we start with a home game but wish it was against someone a bit easier as we're notoriously slow starters and will also be missing a number of our best players

So if the worst happens with Wasps am I to assume we don't start our season till R3?

Starting vs Tigers after a pretty average season gone will be a tough ask. I dont see many signings im massivly excited about,

Hope Sam Simmonds is back that will be a big boost

Tigers will be without
Dolly
Montoya
Heyes
Chessum
Wiese
JVP
Pollard
Porter
Steward

Hopefully it will be something like
1. Cronin, 2. Clare, 3. Cole
4. Wells, 5. Green
6. Liebenberg, 7. Reffell, 8. Martin
9. Youngs, 10. Burns
12. Kelly, 13. Scott
11. Ashton, 14. Potter, 15. Watson

16. Cowan-Dickie, 17. Whitcombe, 18. Leatigaga
19. Snyman, 20. Cracknell
21. Wigglesworth, 22. Gopperth, 23. Nadolo (The Rugby version of the expendables)

Where can I get one of these in green/red/white?

Quins might be very average in the first few rounds. I hope rest periods are applied in the same way for all clubs given we have Saracens in R2.

Without the England tourists, our team would probably be:

1. Marler
2. Musk
3. Collier
4. Lamb
5. Lewies
6. Lawday
7. Evans
8. Dombrandt* (Chisholm)
9. Gjaltema
10. Allan
11. Murley
12. Esterhuizen** (Anyanwu)
13. Northmore
14. Lynagh
15. Green

16. Riley 17. Kerrod 18. Louw 19. Hammond 20. Kenningham 21. Steele 22. Edwards 23. Beard

*injury permitting (no word on how serious it is?)
**may be unavailable due to injury/SA call-up

Thats hell of a list of missing players

Also surely you start...go for the oldest backline...
Wiggs 39
Burns 32
Ashton 35
Gopperth 39
Scott 31
Nadolo 34
Watson 28(thought he was older for some reason)

Put Murimurivalu in for Watson

so the final is on May 27th. That's the weekend that the Heineken Cup final is usually played on. Has it been announced that the Heineken Cup has changed the finals dates?

With the exception of Sutherland and Van Der Merwe, i think we'll have full availability

Will LCD have to rest given he played the England games but hasnt played any previous rugby, same for Hill not that he matters anymore 😉

Some side Leicester have got there

Liking the early fixtures, lot of spice.

You'll probably have those too. Unlike with the Lions tour, I doubt you'll have any obligation to rest them.

So Will Kelleher crunched the numbers on the #PremRugby fixtures this morning.

By my reckoning #England's top players will be available for 11/24 regular-season Prem rounds for their clubs.

They will miss R1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 plus two more weeks, as mandated rest.

For us it depends on what happens with Launchbury and Willis. Koch may be available but not sure how it works with SA players

so starting team looks like, if we cut out the likes of Minozzi, J Willis, Launcbury and Koch although i reckon Launchbury and J Willis will msot likely be allowed to play.

West, Frost, Ryan, Cardall, McDonald, Shields, T Willis, Barbeary, Robson, Atkinson, Odendaal, Odogwu, Bassett, Kilbrige, Crossdale
Bench: Martinez, Oghre, Alo, Vukasinovic, Carr, Porter, Umaga, Spink

AFAIK, Premiership clubs have no obligation to give anyone outside of the England EPS a rest. Koch should be available after the Rugby Championship.

Neither Launch nor Willis will have hit the threshold for mandated rest at the start of the season, so first two weeks should be fine at least

No mandated rest for foreign players - up to the club. With our Boks we usually gave them about the same rest as the EPS mandate, but it will depend how results are going I guess

Hmmm, maybe I was imagining the threshold - all I can see is players have a limit of 30games of 20mins or more per season in general

For England players I can only see an article saying they get 10weeks between end of tour and start of their pre-season, though clubs can request them back early (needs to be signed off by RFU and RPA)

Imagine a lot of players will be requested back early (i.e. Rodd played the Barbarians game but nothing after - so presumably we'll ask for him back early)
