I am in need of some advice i want to loose my body fat but keep around the same weight if that makes sense ?? is it just hitting weights hard with a bit of cardion and lots of protien ect

like i said i am clueless on this and any advice is welcomed.

Depending on where you are, I recommend looking to see if there's a 'crossfit' gym local to you. Lot of friends who play prop are using them, and they are doing a lot of weightlifting, which could be what you're looking for.

cheers ill look into it

dude, like, MacDonald's 6 times a week (take one day off) and loads of biking. It's done wonders for uhmm...some good friends of mine, and like, now, they're super good and...stuff.

Mixed forms of long-distance training are key to fat-burning. When I had a certain age and Rugby was no longer first option I started training for marathons and finally completed some. Now I've moved over to MTB and a lot of swimming - keeps your meatabolism going and puts a certain strain on different muscle groups. If you add some weight-lifting and speed-training to it, you'll be fine. Give yourself some time and plan realistically, probably it's also a question of priority, maybe it makes more sense to devote more time to burning fat and powering up comes second. For me, worked fine - without killing myself I lost 40kg in 10 months and are still able to play Rugby (not too bad for a guy my age) - and then don't forget, what you eat is important, too - in that department I would definitely go and see a doctor, 'cos if you fire up too much on the protein, your kidneys will not love it:(

Lots of cardio to get rid of the body fat for a start. Get on to a good diet and start doing weights. Eventually, once you have lost a lot of your body fat, you may find its harder to put on weight than lose it and this is where you may want to get some supplements etc and the diet becomes crucial. Its probably different for each individual though, but id say doing a lot of cardio is a good start, like others have said doing things like cross fit etc, long distance training etc anything that keeps the heart rate high and get ya sweating for long periods of time. Keep it interesting by mixing it up, biking, swimming, running etc
