How to Unlock the British Lions and NZ Maori

it select england maybe is england worldchampion 2003 different of the team england in 6nations.
After you can change the team categories in the xml b29.....

I did think that i might have to change some xml, but it's weird how the text edit causes some malfunction. Never mind.. nothing will stop me.. c'est le charge chabal!

I found something in the dc.english text.. it says that once you have won the world league elite division on the top skill level, you can play as the 'home' team in lions tour.

Is this left in from 06, or maybe what activates lions tour?

My guess is that its EA's sh!tty left-overs from 06 just like all the other stuff...but they did a very good job of hidding the Lions Tour somewhere thats for sure!

I'm surprised that you guys are looking at what seems to me to be the menu-text database.

Isn't there any file somewhere that stores information like which teams are meant to be in which tournament? There must be some logical linking-up between players, teams and tournaments.

We have tried the xml's too, and nothing works. We can activate the team by using xml, but not the Lions Tour.

Maybe its another file. Is there any file type that you haven't yet been able to edit in the data.gob?

Because maybe the xml's just have data relevant for teams, and not for tournaments. You'd have to snoop around looking for either the xml file or which ever file has data for tournament structures. Like say for example - IF you guys happen to come across something that looks like the structure of the 2007 RWC then there must be a similar file for Super 14, European Trophy etc. as well as the lions tour. Or maybe all the tournaments are bundled into one file. But they must be there for the game to register them in the exe.

There individual XMLs and RSGs for all the competitions, and with them you can tell the game to load which teams into where. All the text and data is there, but there is nothing that seems to actually activate tournaments.. there is for teams but not for tournaments. So essentially, there is all the files but nothing actually appears. There are .rfe files.. as far as i can tell from other modders they run the layout of the menus. So it's likely there is some file which is either an .rfe or something else we can't mod yet.

So there is in fact a set of xml/rsg files for the Lions tour?

And with the other post, there's no way of ADDING tournaments?

Lions Tour is definitely in the game. Everything is there.. all fixtures, text, xml's, logos, teams.. just nothing to actually play as a mode. Whether the mode has been coded out and the files are junk is what we wanna know. 99% chance it is just HB Studios being useless twunts.

I just checked my Currie Cup mod, it's all looking great.. but the Lions S14 appears twice, once in super 14 and once in Representative. Has anyone else tried the text fix in dc.english and got it working?

I am using the original dc.english not the modded one from MUP09 so i think this must have been done when i got it.

Yes, The text fix is the only way to get The British and Irish Lions showing ingame, without the duplicate of the S14 team.

Also, fa'atau, what are all the actual filenames for the Lions Tour; are they all in the data.gob file?

and lastly, did you get my email address for the sending of the NZ Maori kits?

Hi Robbie.

I just did the text fix, and it works. I thought it was more complex. I have been busy sorting out my files, and the Maori kits are confusing to say the least. Here are some Lions files.. they are all in data.gob

Not sure if all of these are for them.. but they is at least 3.. one for each SH tour.

i have done all the editing required to unlock the Lions and nz maori, but it hasn't worked. i've edited the xml and the teams.csv file, and still nothing when i go to play now, or squad management or anything. they're not there please help!!

Open dc.english with xvi32 and search for treviso. You will see a team block for 'Lions'. Delete this and the text for Lions will appear. Use my mup roster, and see if it works.
