Just to reiterate everyone else, House is a must see. It's got to be watched in series though, otherwise it may seem like one off episodes like C A Iversen suggested. The last two episodes of season four are the best two hours of tv I've ever seen, better than any film due to the relationship built up with the characters over the past 86 hours of watching. I've managed to get my entire family hooked on this show. Introduced it to my Mum and Dad last christmas, now she asks me to bring any new episodes with my every time I visit. My sister has now bought the first 3 seasons after watching it with us at my parents house, and my brother grabs all he can off me. Another series I can highly recomment is Battlestar Galactica (the new version). Not atall as geeky as it sounds, nothing like Star Trek etc. I still watch Heroes, and it seems to be picking up again in the fourth season. I also stopped watching Prison Break after the very poor second series. Green Wing was awesome, pitty they made just the one series. I always enjoyed Scrubs aswell, although a couple of the characters did start getting on my nerves. I've bought the first series of Spooks, as I enjoyed the couple of one off episodes I saw on tv, but haven't had time to start them yet. Just got the first two seasons of Dexter to watch aswell. So yeah, House!!!! Wish I was back in your situation again, with soo much great tv ahead of you.
