i want to play rugby can any 1 help?

Orite every one, my name is dale i am 20 and i am living in Derby, i would really like to start training with a rugby team. i havnt played proper rugby but have always loved watching it as my dad was a big rugby fan. i know the basics from playing at school. i am 6 foot 1 and about 18 stones and bit over weight, not too quick but pretty strong, can any 1 suggest what i should do next ? and perhaps the possition i could try out ? and any possible local teams in Derby

You sound like a prop. Just go to training, get some fitness and learn to scrummage then you'll be away.

Yeah, you just need to be involved with the game. You'll soon pick up the basics and then you can develop from there.
