In Football, there are international match-days when no 1st tier league games are played.
However, in Rugby there is no such system, so teams who have many internationals have disadvantage in the international match periods (such as 6N).
I think that Rugby should introduce Football's system.

I think you should start watching football. Come on man! This is ridiculous. I think it's great, having test matches on days the competitions are on as well. It gives the big teams the challenge to come up with replacements which are usually youngsters. This, in the long run, helps development of those young players which is good for rugby's future.

Agree 100% with Ezequiel. Love competitions like Currie Cup and even in Pro 12 when international lads are unavailable. The players develope and alot of time the games are entertaining with superb rugby.

It works with football because you can play a lot more games in a short space of time, and it's easier for players to recover their bodies in time for the next game. There's simply not enough time in a rugby season to allow for no club games at all in an international window. And anyway, it's not that much of a problem for the Welsh and English teams, with most of the international windows having LV Cup games, a tournament that's main purpose is for teams to give squad/academy players game time, instead of proper league games. As far as I know it's only the French that have league games the whole way through?

I think that giving chances for young talents can be done by having LV Cup-like competitions on international matchdays.
