Emerging Ireland are playing now. Up 19-0 around 20 minutes in. There's been a lof of handling errors but it's a fairly free flowing game. If we hold onto the ball we'll really cut them a new one.

EDIT: 24-0 McCloskey beaks through, nearly fluffs the pass but Conway's in for his second.

EDIT EDIT: Small Paul runs the pitch gets dragged down five out offloads to Conway for his hattrick. 31-0

A New EDIT: Gilroy steps about three people running from his own 22 to score.

45-0 after 35 minutes. Gilroy makes a great break again and Copeland scores. While I'm tying Copeland breaks and TO'D scores.

52-0

This is a complete joke. We're dominating everything.

Less than 5 minutes into the secondhalf and it's 66-0.

Conway could break the competition record for tries scored in one match.

EDIT: Match stopped because of lightning.

Bloody hell, I know it's hard to judge against Russia, but how was McCloskey from what you saw BG8?

By the sounds of it that game could have went 100+ as the Russians started to tire more..

McCloskey was good enough. Made a nice break as I mentioned above but the pass was very poor nearly went right behind Conway and they were only 2m apart. Carried up well but all the centres basically had to do was get it to their wingers.

Definitely would have broke 100.

Any highlights?

They'd be some really long highlights...

First half should be here in a bit.

Was the russians being blooded in or were they playing their test players? Either way, Ireland got some serious stock!

I think 6 of the team that we played in the 2011 RWC were playing today.

According to the IRFU website the Russians had a combined cap total of 511 which is pretty high, so it wasn't like they were blooding a lot of new players.

The first match was ridiculous. 66 points in 45 minutes? Even some Russian fans that were next to me in the stands ended up laughing at the awful perfomance of their team. The thunderstorm saved them from a 100+ defeat for sure. Btw, this is close to the full-strength Russian squad, they are maybe missing 4-5 players and most of their team today are quite experienced.

In the second match, Romania - Uruguay 34-16 (13-13). It wasn't a great match for the Oaks but a decent result considering the young experimental squad used for this tournament.
