Comfortable win for New Zealand.
Looking forward to this. Not sure if you can read much into Leinster's form and this match. Slight advantage to the AB's on the basis they've had more recent time together but that's about it.

Feels like a potential tipping point this autumn. On the one hand, I do think we can put out a team to beat anyone, the pack remains excellent. On the other, I think we've been figured out a bit, slow the ball down and disrupt the phaseplay and you have us, the attacking patterns we've used to this point with Faz have been copied the world over too and defenders are more used to them. My prediction is 2-2 but wouldn't be surprised at 1 better or worse.
I think we need to find a way not to lose too much ground to the top sides whilst getting young players through, could see us having a 3-4 year period not competing in 6n and only having the odd scalp here and there before hopefully becoming contenders again with a new generation.

I would agree with this. Rustiness will be our main problem, the Leinster Lions have played very little rugby. Don't think Leinster's form comes in too much, the only game you can really lay at the feet of their front line internationals is the Munster game.
New Zealand will rightly be favourites, but they did take an absolute pasting from the Boks and a loss to the Argies recently. Also have to imagine this will very much be a home game for Ireland.

We haven't beaten a good team since June 2024 and got hammered last time we played one. I think we'll improve from the 6n but a 2 score loss and comfortable last 10 for NZ is what I expect here. I just don't think we're at that level currently.
Do have hope that Faz can turn it around with this group of players and it might start here but a lot would have to go right.

Well we beat SA in July 24...with that pedantry done I think it's a little bit harsh calling England, Argentina, and Australia all not 'good'. Certainly the games against NZ and France were not banner days but you're stretching it a bit.
I'm not super optimistic but there's a lot I'm looking forward to seeing, such as TOB getting his first go against top level opposition.
Will be interesting what route we go in the backrow, although McCarthy's injury maybe stops Farrell from what he really wants to do.

From the league that I assume Ross Byrne is dominating now. I couldn't be bothered to check, but I assume Gloucester are sitting pretty atop the Premiership with 4 wins on the trot.

Just to let you now, posts like this have lost their bite since Casper Gabriel's debut. Leinster fans and Irish media now have a new 10 to hype far beyond what is acceptable pressure to put on a 20 year old and likely ruin him.
I personally think he'll make his debut in the world cup warm ups and drag us to the cup.
No one knows who this is, and if you Google him the first image is of Marcus Smith

According to Kinsella the team will be as excepted apart from uncertainty at 6 and 8 which will be some combo of Baird, Conan, and Doris.
