[QUOTE="Leinster Fan, post: 984254, member: 76349"] McGrath is coming off some excellent games for Leinster after being very mixed earlier on this season, it might not be enough to catapult him into the 23 but he has a much better chance than he did a month ago. Cooney is out on his own. At outhalf Burns is pushing Byrne over the last few games, if Sexton isn't fit I'd have Ross starting insgead of throwing Bruns in for a debut but it's a tight call on form if we're choosing a 22. I'd prefer Ross but Burns has made his claim well. 12 is much of a muchness between Aki and Henshaw. Again I'd prefer Henshaw but opting for Aki (or McCloskey) would have been a fair call. 13 is Ringrose all day and night. Back three is interesting, Conway has one of the wing spots on form and Larmour is presumably in line at fullback, Stockdale is probably going to keep his spot as well. Dave is playing really well but would be seen as backwards step. Has shown himself to be a viable option though. Addison is perfect for the 23 shirt, he's in good form even before versatility is taken into account. Prop is easy, only real question is whether Kilcoyne and/or Porter should be starting on form, both have a case but no doubt as to who'll be in the 23. I'll admit to being worried by O'Toole though, he's an injury away from coming off the bench in Twickenham which he doesn't look ready for. One for the future though and similar to what we did with Porter a few years ago and that has worked out pretty well so I'll reserve judgement. Hooker is an open game, none of them has ever played in the Six Nations and they all have a big opportunity here. Kelleher is the best but is young, green, and hasn't played in months. Would put him in 16 if he's fit and then work from there depending on performance. Herring is a bit meh, solid player but never a world beater, probably the most likely to start against Scotland though. Heffernan is a wildcard, obviously rated by the coaches but who knows how highly, he could be viewed as a potential starter or as squad filler for all we know. Depending on Kelleher's fitness there is a good chance he gets on the pitch at some point so we'll see how he does. At lock it's Ryan and probably Henderson. Toner has been very good this year and if he started it wouldn't be undeserved. Especially with three hookers inexperienced at this level his ability in the lineout could be critical. Dillanne is another option if we want extra impact off the bench but isn't pushing to start right now. Backrow is maybe the most contentious area, POM doesn't deserve to start and the fact that he wasn't made captain doesn't bode well for him.
