Is Sanchez eligible for pumas?

    argentina implemented a rule after the Jaguares joined super rugby that the pumas would only include locally based players .

    Do they still have that rule?
    I’m hoping not so I can see Sanchez playing for the pumas even though he’s based in France now.

    If they haven't dropped it completely it definitely doesn't apply to the 12 months leading to a rwc

    I think they dropped the rule briefly, Sanchez elected to leave, then they reintroduced it. So if don't know what his status is.

    Rule is in place but with a * .....if the national coach has an outstading situation where he needs a particular player he can summon him.

    Truth is that if we dont call at least 8/10 players from Europe we are gone on the first round.
