The vice-chairman of World Rugby, Bernard Laporte, has been fined £64,500 and given a two-year suspended sentence nine months before the World Cup in France
Bernard Laporte, the head of the French Rugby Federation, got a two-year suspended prison sentence and a €75,000 ($79,000) fine after being found guilty in a trial over influence peddling and illegally acquiring assets, French media reported on Tuesday.
Didn't even know he was charged. Knew the RWC guy had some legal troubles but this is interesting.
