Last year we had a three-way tie with Sarel Pretorius, Bjorn Basson and Sean Maitland all on 9 tries at the end of the season. SO who will it be this year?

I had picked Basson last year. This year, I think I'll go with Gio Aplon who'll be playing at wing for the Stormers which I feel is a position he is much better suited to than fullback.

Plenty of good options to choose from - Ioane, Basson, Maitland, Dagg, Fruean, Wulf all come to mind (obviously a slight NZ bias here....). I'm going to for Zac Guildford - he is at the end of a class backline, has a real instinct for the try-line, and has a lot to prove (though there is always the chance that he goes off the rails again and gets suspended / kicked out of the Crusaders).

I think with the new scrum penalties which was so evident in the first round, I wouldn't be surprized if we see a lot of scrumhalves taking the quick tap and darting for the line, like Fourie Du Preez used to do... My bet will be on Francois Hougaard...
