Les Kiss to replace Schmidt as Aus head coach

aussie rugby is in the perennial loop of shoot itself in the foot, with only 4 professional coaches when ever one of the gets the top job the domestic job takes a hit, not sure what the solution is but the reds will lose the momentum they have started

Implement professional coaching pathways...

Rugby is barely a profession in Aus, though, and as its losing money rather than gaining it I don't see a solution.

the only thing i can see is getting their coaching into overseas roles and then coming home rather than butchering the domestic game

I mean the actual solution is to have a domestic competition with enough teams and coaching opportunities to form a proper foundation for professional rugby in Australia.

But we kicked the can down the road and signed back up to the Super Rugby death spiral so **** me I guess.

agreed, a proper domestic comp where players and coaches could see a pathway is the real answer....but also not going to happen
