World Cup winner Josh Lewsey has come out of retirement to sign a short-term deal with Wasps.

The 34-year-old hung up his boots in 2009, having enjoyed a trophy-laden career.

During his time at Wasps, he won four Premiership ***les, two Heineken Cups, a European Challenge Cup and two domestic Cup successes - as well as playing his part in the 2003 World Cup success over Australia.

However Lewsey, who scored 22 tries in 55 appearances for England, will now provide cover for the back three at Adams Park until the end of the season.

I loved him in his prime and well the fella is a fitness freak anyway so I predict he could be a great signing

I'd welcome him. A better option then the boat in centre.

All the experience of Mike Tindall, but with more skill :p

Then you could stick Manu Tuilagi outside him, and all would be good in the world
