Phil Greening joins London Welsh coaching staff

London Welsh have appointed former England hooker Phil Greening as Assistant Coach.

Greening, 33, who has been assisting the Dragons on a consultancy basis since February, takes up the full-time role as the club prepares for the start of the new Championship and British & Irish Cup.

Greening won 24 England caps between 1996-2001, including featuring in the 1999 World Cup, and toured Australia with the 2001 Lions. He also gained representative honours with England at U16, U18, Colts, U21, England A and Sevens.[/b]

London Welsh sign World Cup winning captain

London Welsh have signed Wales World Cup winning Sevens captain Lee Beach.

The 26-year-old back row forward, who steered Wales to World Cup glory in Dubai, joins the Dragons from Neath having last Saturday led the Blacks to back to back SWALEC Cup wins with victory over Llanelli at the Millennium Stadium.

Beach was also instrumental in guiding Neath to a Principality Premiership and Konica Minolta Cup double in 2007/08 - the fourth consecutive season the Blacks had claimed the Premiership ***le. He was a try scorer in their 28-22 cup final win over former club Pontypridd in Cardiff.

Beach capped the 2007/08 season by picking up the Principality Premiership Player of the Year award, as well as being named the Welsh Rugby Writers Principality Player of the Year.[/b]
