I read 1,900 pre-sales. Disappointing but venue announced just 4 days before the match and NY isn't one of the stronger supported team. The final last year in LA Zgot 6,700 I believe.

New York is my favorite team in the Eastern Conference, but not my favorite MLR team. So I'm celebrating, but not with a great deal of enthusiasm.

2021 Final in Los Angeles, CA attendance was 7,389.

2022 Final in Harrison, NJ was 1,979 (as you noted they only had a few days to promote it). I enjoyed the final, but then again I wanted New York to win.

Commissioner said during an interview that attendance was up more than 20% across the MLR this season. So they're definitely headed in the right direction.

Man of the Match was Andy Ellis (former All Black and Crusader). He announced his retirement before the match. What a great way to end your career!

I really enjoyed season five of MLR competition. I've been a fan since year one and I think this was the most exciting season yet. I can't wait for 2023.

In coordination with MLR, the first annual Collegiate Rugby Shield competition was held in Utah yesterday. Two teams made up of college all stars played a close first half, but the Peaks squad pulled away in the second half to win comfortably. Some of the players in this game will be in the MLR draft next month.
