He was a good player for Toulouse and had a great season around 2008 before his career was cut short due to a heart condition in 2010 when he had to retire. The article doesn't say why he died so young at 29, was it to do with his heart condition?

Correct, apparently a cardiac arrest in the middle of the night.

I thought he retired because he broke his arm badly?

He underwent heart surgery in Feb 2010, ended his Toulouse carreer in 2009.

One minute of silence shall be dedicated to his memory before Toulouse-Clermont on first december.
